PROVERBS 19:17  Whosoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord,

and He will repay him for his deed.

For 16 long years, BLCIS community has developed the tradition of sharing their God given blessings to the less privileged families from the towns of Orani, Samal, Hermosa, and other nearby towns; numbering to as many as 400  families.

Times are bad…

2 TIMOTHY 3:1 says: But understand this that in the last days there

will come times of difficulty.

Year 2020, we were all caught unarmed, the pandemic brought about by COVID-19 tests our limits. Lives lost, health and safety were challenged, livelihoods were affected, a new normal arose, our faith confirmed. Amidst these hardships, people were able to make the best use of the times to be more sensitive to the needs of others.

GALACIA 6:10 So then, as we have the opportunity,

let us do good to everyone.

In view of our Gift-Giving Tradition, popularly known as GIMIKAN, hereunder are our suggested activities. It’s high time to relive our lives for the past year and celebrate God’s benedictions.

We will continue the BLCIS Gimikan we have started right and been doing for the past 15 years.

We will share our blessings on our 16th year, in the name of  LOVE for GOD’s GLORY!

May we suggest for our Gimikan packs (you can put additional goods at your convenience):

  • 3 to 5 kilograms of rice

  • canned goods

  • laundry and/or bath soap

  • coffee (3 in 1)

  • sugar

  • Most importantly…Prayers  (a simple note from our BLCians, that will empower the beneficiary to gain more strength in facing our present situation)

Also, you may recommend 1 or 2 family recipients from your barangay who will receive your blessings!

This is our chance to do good works in the name of God thru Jesus!

MATTHEW 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others; so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

To GOD be the GLORY!

Thank you very much. God Bless Us.
